Program Overview

ERASMUS+ ICM (International Credit Mobility) is an initiative under the ERASMUS+ program that enables academic mobility between European program countries and partner countries. Hassiba Benbouali University of Chlef (UHBC) actively participates in this initiative, with support from the European Commission, to promote cooperation between higher education institutions across different regions.

Objectives

The ERASMUS+ ICM program aims to:

  • Provide students and staff with opportunities to enhance linguistic, intercultural, and professional competencies.
  • Support faculty members in developing teaching expertise and updating pedagogical content.
  • Foster internationalization within higher education institutions.
  • Enhance the global visibility of Hassiba Benbouali University of Chlef.
  • Strengthen academic and institutional collaborations in line with UHBC’s internationalization strategy.

Eligibility & Mobility Opportunities (The duration of mobility may vary based on the terms outlined in inter-institutional agreements)

Important Notes

  • Students cannot apply for teaching or training scholarships, and staff cannot apply for student scholarships.
  • Administrative and technical staff cannot apply for teaching mobility grants, but faculty members may apply for training mobility grants.

Eligibility Criteria

For Undergraduate & Master’s Students

  • Must be officially enrolled at UHBC during the academic year of mobility.
  • Mobility does not lead to a degree but results in a transcript from the host institution.
  • Must have completed previous academic years without repeating.
  • Must not have received prior ERASMUS+ or equivalent mobility grants.
  • The academic program at UHBC must align with the host university’s curriculum.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in English (at least B2 ).

For PhD Students

  • Must be officially enrolled at UHBC during the mobility period.
  • Mobility does not lead to a degree but enhances research collaboration.
  • Must not have received prior ERASMUS+ or equivalent mobility grants.
  • Research topics must align with the host university’s expertise.
  • Having an established research collaboration or co-supervision agreement is an advantage.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in English (at least B2 ).

For Teaching Staff

  • Must be a permanent UHBC faculty member.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in English (at least B2 ).
  • Must not have previously benefited from an ERASMUS+ teaching mobility grant.

For Administrative & Technical Staff

  • Must be a permanent employee at UHBC.
  • Must have proficiency in English (at least B2 ).
  • Must provide a well-justified mobility project that aligns with the host institution’s priorities.
  • Must not have received previous ERASMUS+ mobility grants.

Application & Selection Process

Application Procedure

  • Calls for applications will be announced through official UHBC channels, detailing required documents and submission deadlines.
  • Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Selection Procedure

  • If the host university has its own selection criteria, candidates will be evaluated based on both their requirements and those of UHBC.
  • If no specific criteria exist at the host institution, UHBC’s selection criteria will solely apply.
